On September 19, 1999, the Rock International “Tribe” was officially dedicated at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City to be a Christ-centered, kingdom-based apostolic tribe animated by Father’s love and passionate intimacy with Jesus.

In the Spring of 2000, Rock International began doing compassion ministries, outreaches, and house church planting in the inner city of Kansas City, Missouri. Because of our ultimate calling to youth, poor, and nations, we formed an “ Antioch” style missions base in the urban core, where the largest international population has resettled. We acquired all the properties that had once been owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese. The offices and ministries were fully shifted to the inner city during 2000.

In 2002, Rock International established Rock Solid Urban Impact, a not-for-profit urban development corporation, in order to facilitate social transformation on a practical level and help train urban youth in life skills. Rock Solid Urban Impact later bought the parochial school connected to the celebration center to be used for outreach and training. With a conviction that the kingdom of God is all-encompassing and the market place is a key setting for making disciples of Christ, Rock Solid Urban Impact is launching Kingdom businesses, beginning with Cold Cup Groundskeeping.

The Rock Tribe embraced the Biblical strategy of making disciples relationally in the setting of small strategic kingdom family platoons (house churches). House churches have been started and multiplied in four states in the USA. The Rock Tribe has also developed other ministry strategies to help foster the expansion of God’s love, glory, and kingdom in the nations such as: The Prayer Furnace, Rock Training Center, ROCenters, World Outreach Kingdom Community, and strategic family gatherings like Rock on Table Rock and the Rock Tribal Gathering.
